Marico markets brands across Indian and international markets which occupy leadership positions and significant market shares in their respective categories. Today, Marico has a strong presence in over 25 countries across India, South East Asia, Middle East and Africa.
In India, every month, over 70 million consumer packs from Marico's Consumer Product Business (CPB) reaches approximately 130 Million consumers in about 23 Million households, through a widespread distribution network of more than 3.3 million outlets. Marico India has nurtured brands that touch the lives of 1 out of 3 Indians* over the last two decades. The company has recently acquired the erstwhile personal care business from Reckitt Benckiser. Marico now owns popular brands like Set Wet, Livon, Zatak , and other personal care brands thereby strengthening its portfolio for the youth and creating a significant presence in the male grooming and post hair wash segments.
In addition to CPB, Marico is present in the Skin Care Solutions segment through Kaya Skin Clinics in India, Middle East and Bangladesh, along with the Singapore-based Derma Rx Asia Pacific Pte. Ltd. (Derma Rx).
Internationally, Marico's business initially targeted the Indian population abroad, but soon saw threads of common culture running through ethnicities and consumers across country clusters. Over time, Marico adopted the strategy of developing localized products, entering new categories, and also growing through acquisitions. Marico's International Business Group (IBG) saw a 5 years topline CAGR of over 44% in the year ending 2011, with an organic CAGR of above 36% during the same period.
